On February 12, 2023, we received the long-awaited donation, officially marking the start of the project's activities. This financial support has enabled us to drive our initiatives forward and continue our valuable work.

Contratación de un Instructor

We are pleased to announce that we have hired Mr. Patricio Naranjo, a highly qualified professional with extensive experience in Agroecology and the Environment. Mr. Naranjo is joining our team as an instructor to conduct training sessions at our school. His extensive knowledge and teaching skills will ensure an enriching educational experience for all participants.

Inauguración del Invernadero

We are thrilled to announce that the greenhouse was officially inaugurated on June 9, 2023! After a meticulous construction and equipping process, this space has become a conducive environment for hands-on learning and the application of sustainable farming techniques. The attached photographs at the end of this article capture the beauty and success of our greenhouse.

Plantación de Árboles en Galápagos

As part of our participatory approach, we offer all visitors to the highlands of Santa Cruz the opportunity to personally plant a tree. We are pleased to report that several groups have already had the opportunity to actively contribute to this reforestation effort. Soon, we will share photographs capturing those special moments.

Certificados para los Participantes

Para reconocer y agradecer a los viajeros que han visitado Ecuador a través de Kimkim, hemos emitido un total de 287 certificados. Estos certificados garantizan que un árbol será plantado en nombre de cada viajero, demostrando su valiosa contribución a este proyecto ambiental.

El 24 de agosto de 2023, dimos la bienvenida a dos distinguidos representantes de los patrocinadores que han respaldado incansablemente nuestro proyecto, con el propósito de que pudieran presenciar de primera mano los notables resultados obtenidos hasta la fecha gracias a su generosa inversión.

Charlas de Educación Ambiental

El pasado 25 de agosto, se llevaron a cabo con gran éxito dos charlas de educación ambiental en la Unidad Educativa Miguel Antoliano Salinas, dirigidas a niños, adolescentes y miembros de la comunidad. Estas enriquecedoras charlas abordaron temas fundamentales para la conservación de nuestra flora y fauna local, destacando los factores que amenazan su supervivencia, subrayando la importancia crucial de la conservación y brindando prácticas formas de reducir nuestro impacto ambiental.

Siembra en San Antonio de las Aradas

En un esfuerzo comunitario notable, durante la jornada del 26 al 28 de diciembre de 2023, en San Antonio de las Aradas se llevó a cabo la siembra de 2262 árboles, marcando un hito significativo para la localidad. Esta jornada de siembra fue posible gracias al apoyo de seis personas comprometidas de la comunidad, quienes dedicaron sus esfuerzos para hacer realidad la iniciativa.
